Noah White has been named to Team Canada

Hi everyone,

One of our junior team members, Noah White has been named to Team Canada.  We are very proud of the work and dedication that Noah has committed to in order to make this team.  Costs for this event are pretty significant, and in the past, paddlers who made team Canada put on fundraisers locally to help offset their costs.  As Noah is the only one we have this year, we will not be able to put on something big, but this is one way we can all help in our own way.

Please read the attached information from Dominic Lai, the Head Coach of Team Canada.  There is a race being held in Vancouver this month that is a big fundraiser for the team.  Local groups choose a group to support, and the Junior team was selected as one of the beneficiaries.  Whatever the U18 team raises, it is matched up to $5000 by the company sponsoring the race.  In addition, the top team of fundraisers will receive an additional $5000, so the possibility is there for the team to get an additional $10000 to help with their costs!

If possible, could every family in our club look at donating to this cause.  Note that donations over $25 will receive a tax receipt.  Anything you donate would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for helping Noah reach his dream of representing not just Canada, but our little corner of the world in Lambton Shores, and our club!
