Bolting Turtles
The Lambton Shores Bolting Turtles Dragon Boat Team finally captured the elusive gold medal in Division ‘A’ of the Sydenham Challenge Dragon Boat Festival in Wallaceburg on Saturday, June 6th. The Bolting Turtles completed the 300 metres with a time of 1:32.59 to finish first overall.
The U18 Lambton Shores (North Lambton) Super Strokers coached by Cathy Johnson finished fourth overall. This (mixed) team missed finishing third by 15/100 of a second.
The Lambton Shores Dirty Oars finished 5th in the ‘B’ Division. This all adult women’s team finished the course in 1:44.93. The Lambton Shores ’Long and Hard’ mixed team finished 8th in the ’A’ Division with a time of 1:41.13.
